Somatic means "relating to the body". Although talking about our problems gives us a sense of relief and understanding, it is often temporary. Soon we find ourselves getting retriggered or falling back into old patterns. Somatic therapies help us to regulate our nervous systems, for lasting change.

After 15 years of teaching yoga and meditation, I realised there was a great need to integrate Western Science with Eastern philosophy and movement. I decided to go back to University and study Mental Health and Trauma Therapies, understanding that the body, mind and spirit must be felt, understood, and connected, for us to heal and grow as people. Over the last several years I have begun to integrate these teachings into a profound methodology of talk therapy, breath work, somatic and conscious movement and trauma release. I know it works because I have used it on myself. It gives me such joy and purpose to share this healing work with others.

Somatic (moving) practices are vital part of the healing process, and the embodiment of lasting change/
Lasting change and healing requires a combination of understanding, talk therapy and the embodiment of a new and more integrated sense of self.
First we uncover the core issues : Often repressed emotions and subconscious patterns that are holding us back or keeping us stuck in cyclic behaviors - often caused from complex trauma, betrayal

First we uncover the core issues : Often repressed emotions and subconscious patterns that are holding us back or keeping us stuck in cyclic behaviors - often caused from complex trauma, betrayal, conditioning and disconnect.
Then we come to accept and understand them through talk therapy and our personal trigger responses (eg: flight, fight, freeze, fawn)
Finally we work through the uncomfortable feelings, giving ourselves the time, space, compassion and love we need, through the somatic part of our therapies and regulation of our overworked nervous systems.

To change and grow, we must not just think it - we have to feel it also.
